Former A.C. Milan and Chelsea stand-out (ok maybe not so much Chelsea) Andriy Shevchenko is the proud new co-founder of the online men’s retailer, Ikkon. Formed in partnership with his sisters Kara Pazik and Marisa Pazik as well as his wife, it appears that Sheva’s role is mainly to splash out the cash.

As it stands, the Washington, D.C.-based retailer is a bit late to the party competing against some heavy adversaries including Mr. Porter and Park & Bond. Despite this, the sisters are optimistic that their previous modeling background coupled with Shevchenko’s fashion connections (he once modeled for Armani Collezioni) will create the perfect tandem.

Lifestyle auctions for sports, music and entertainment will certainly try to separate Ikkon from the pack. Given the fact Sheva’s hitting the ripe old age of 36 at Dynamo Kyiv, thinking for the future doesn’t seem like such a bad idea. The site officially launches today.
