Blackburn Rovers executive Paul Hunt made a splash earlier this week when a letter he sent to club owner Venky’s was leaked that asked, among other things, for a promotion and raise for himself, and for the club to sack manager Steve Kean. Well, now they’ve fired him in a press release that must set some sort of record for terseness.

This morning, a post appeared on Blackburn’s official website, titled “Paul Hunt Leaves.”

Blackburn Rovers Football Club can confirm that deputy chief executive Paul Hunt has left the club.

That’s it. No thanking him for his service to the club, no wishing him well in future endeavors. Just gone.

We blame the Ewood Park Chicken.
