Part of the deal that took MLS from their icky Murdockian home of Fox Soccer Channel to the new NBC Sports Network was the “extras” the league would get from a network that knows how to do behind-the-scenes. Those extras are finally on tap for MLS, with stars Chris Wondolowski and Fredy Montero featuring in episodes of “MLS 36″, a 36-hour look at the life of an athlete. NBC has previously produced versions of the show for NASCAR, the NHL, and others. Here’s a sneak peek at Wondowlowski’s episode, which follows him leading up to the MLS All-Star Game.

Notice John Terry complimenting Wondolowksi. Clearly John didn’t realize that Wondo is Native American…

Too easy.

MLS 36 featuring Chris Wondolowski debuts August 5, at 9:30 p.m. ET. The second episode featuring Fredy Montero’s 36 hours leading up to a Sounders friendly with Chelsea, runs Friday, August 10 at 10:30 pm ET.
