Few people will contest Franck Ribery’s dominance of the Bundesliga and prominence on the global stage. As one of the world’s most electrfying players, the Bayern Munich midfielder deserves his shine as he recently linked up with German streetwear brand Beastin to create an exclusive Nike Sportswear Destroyer Varsity Jacket. Typically these jackets have been heavy on iconography and this particular piece is no exception.
The jacket features a shout-out to Ribery’s hometown of Boulogne with the semi-offensive “BOULOGNE BASTARDS” logo taking up a sizable part of the rear. His #7 is embroidered over the front right pocket with a heart inside the jacket bearing the name of his three children, Shaninez, Hiziya & Seif. The whole piece is a bit over the top aesthetically… but then again we’re talking about the guy who does nothing to go against the stereotype of douche bag footballers by rocking a Gucci monogram hat for the photo shoot with the rest of the Beastin crew.
