Jose Mourinho Writes Crazy Letter To Quiet Rumors, Pretty Much Fails

Has Jose completely lost it? If letters like the one he penned for the Real Madrid website are any indication, he’s definitely feeling the pressure.

Rumors hit the news on Tuesday morning that Jose was considering leaving Madrid because he “didn’t feel like he had the support of the board.” You know, the usual dross. This is not Jose’s first rodeo.

To quiet the rumors, Jose shot back with the following, a rambling, declarative statement of his disgust at the rumors.

Only those who don’t know me can dream, make up or believe I may leave Real Madrid at this stage…

I believe many people were surprised by the quality football showcased by Real Madrid during the preseason and it would be surprising news to them if I left the club now. Impossible!

I have a fantastic President who is very intelligent and with whom I have a great friendship. I also have a Director General who works for the club 24 hours a day, so my motivation is enormous and my Madridismo is even greater than that of some pseudo-Madridistas…

There is no way I’m leaving. No way!

I also wish to apologise to Madridistas, and only to them, for my attitude in our last game. Some people are better adapted to the hypocrisy in football than I am, and they hide their faces and speak in whispers deep inside tunnels.

I’m not learning to be a hypocrite, and I don’t want to.

Best wishes to all. We’ll see each other tomorrow at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

“Some people are better adapted to the hypocrisy in football than I am” stands out like a sore thumb on a hand of healthy digits. Jose is playing the blame game again, apologizing for Real Madrid on one hand while shifting responsibility for his actions to the muddy concept of “hypocrisy in football.” Either Jose is tilting at windmills, or he really is seeing shadows at every turn.

“There is no way I’m leaving. No way!” he says. Methinks Mr. Mourinho doth protest too much.

Take Jose’s letter as a guarantee at your own risk. The edges are fraying on his tenure at Madrid, and it wouldn’t surprise anyone if he bolted for a job in England very, very soon.
