You guys remember the REAL anthem of the 2010 World Cup right? And Republican Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney loved it. But K’Naan didn’t love Romney loving it.
After the song was used at Romney’s post-Florida primary victory party on Tuesday, its Somali-Canadian creator issued a statement demanding that the campaign no longer use his song.
I have not been asked for permission by Mitt Romney’s campaign for the use of my song. If I had been asked, I would certainly not have granted it.
I would happily grant the Obama campaign use of my song without prejudice.
