Szabolcs Huszti’s added time goal for Hannover this weekend gave his club a massive win over Werder Bremen. The Hungarian winger’s overhead kick (aided by a deflection) set off a delirious celebration. Caught up in the moment, Huszti decided that shirt-removal was the only proper expression of his joy, and that he needed to be close to the Hannover fans. Because he removed his shirt ( mandatory yellow) and jumped the barricade (mandatory yellow), Huszti was sent off. So that’s overhead goal, shirt strip, party in the stands, red card, all in about a minute. Bravo, sir.
