“He asked for a Big Mac in Burger King and got one.” Hmm. Does that make him hard, or does it make him stupid (in no way am I suggesting Martin Skrtel is stupid, I’m just trying to figure out the banner)? Surely there’s a McDonald’s right across the street. Oh, I get it. He did it because he could. Well, it’s not quite Paul Bunyan-esque, now is it? Martin Skrtel is so hard he asked for a hamburger at a burger joint and got a…hamburger.
Here’s the banner looking good next to one celebrating Liverpool’s record of European glory. One of these things is not like the other.
Now, if Martin Skrtel asked for a Big Mac at a Starbucks, that would be impressive. MAKE ME A BIG MAC, BARISTA. AND DON’T SKIMP ON THE NUTMEG.
It’s been pointed out that this banner is “so old.” While it is “old” by most standards (it made the trip to Wembley for an FA Cup semifinal against Everton in 2012), it’s new to us and means we get to make jokes. Which is why we’re posting it now. Carry on.
