Aaron D’Errico’s dad David was one of the original NASL Sounders back in the 70s (and later, USMNT captain), so naturally Aaron wanted to follow in his footsteps. Unfortunately, Aaron has cerebral palsy, preventing him from becoming an athlete. Instead, Aaron used a vivid imagination and artistic ability to create a futuristic soccer playing comic book character, and after attracting the attention of Stan Lee, is now running a contest for other aspiring comic book artists.

Aaron’s story is very cool, and has rightfully attracted plenty of attention. There’s a Seattle Post-Intelligencer story on him with background, and a a post at Stan Lee’s website.

The contest Aaron is running at Talenthouse can be found here.
