Nobody likes Sepp Blatter, not even the people in his home country. Fed up with Sepp’s buffoonery and the constant scandal surrounding Sepp’s stewardship of FIFA, the citizens of Sepp’s home region of Switzerland are campaigning to get the FIFA president’s name off of the local primary school in his hometown of Visp. Okay, so the “campaign” is an online petition. Still.

Following a lead from a column published over the weekend (can’t remember by whom), we tracked down links to a couple stories from January highlighting the efforts of locals to get Sepp’s name off of the Primarschulhaus seen above. It looks like the petitions might have come from angry FC Sion fans, upset at Blatter’s role in the 36 point penalty Sion were assessed for an illegal transfer.

Sion is 65 miles from Visp, a straight shot down E62, in case you were wondering.

Whoever is behind the petition, they haven’t seem to have struck the chord one would assume. So far, the petition to remove Sepp Blatter’s name from the Visp primary school has collected 124 digital signatures.
