You know all of those people taking to the streets of Brazil to protest government waste and overspending on lavish stadiums for the World Cup in 2014? FIFA doesn’t care about them. That’s probably no shock, but just in case you need a bit of evidence, let us introduce you to Champagne Taittinger, the official champagne of the Confederations Cup and the World Cup. That sound you don’t hear is FIFA not picking up what the people of Brazil are putting down.

The French champagne maker is totally on board to…well, be fancy in Brazil I suppose. I’m sure all of the people protesting in Brazil will be excited to hear that there’s someone providing champagne they can’t afford. But at least Sepp Blatter is getting tipsy on high-priced bubbly.

“Champagne Taittinger will manifest its presence at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in the months to come through various initiatives with the help of its 150 distributors around the world,” the company said.

“Manifest its presence.” Alright.
