Treasures of eBay is a daily feature where we wade through the mountains of bollocks on eBay to bring you an auction we think is worth a second look.

Today’s treasure is a pallet of 1991/92 Pro Set Soccer Cards, with an asking price of $519.99.

Collecting cards is a storied American pastime. Baseball cards are the traditional icons, but you can find cards for just about any sport. There was nothing quite like going to that shady store at the corner, ripping the foil off a new pack, daring yourself to chew that gum manufactured during the Korean War, and finding… a bunch of guys who weren’t that famous even in the mid-eighties.

Well, now you’re an adult, and you don’t have to save up your allowance to buy the crap you want to, you have a credit card! And you’ll need it if you want to buy the FIFTY TWO THOUSAND soccer cards offered for sale by seller krukcards.

That’s a pallet with fifty two boxes, each containing one thousand cards from the 1991/92 Pro Set Soccer series given away by English “newspaper” The Sun. And for the low price of just $519.99, you can have enough to wallpaper your house with. Just think, you can do your bar up with Tony Adams, Paul Gascoigne and Paul Merson. Vinnie Jones can adorn the walls of your home theater. Ian Rush can watch you have a poo.
