The Washington Capitals’ season ended last week in a Game 7 loss to the New York Rangers, so with their time completely unencumbered by the chase for Lord Stanley’s Cup, a few members of the team went out to RFK last night to support D.C. United. Brooks Laich, John Carlson, Mathieu Perreault and Joel Ward got personalized United shirts and hit the United locker room after the game for the requisite photo-op.

Interesting tidbit: United’s Dwayne DeRosario and Capitals winger Joel Ward (far left) went to the same Toronto-area high school.
